Hay-on-Wye, often described as "the town of books", is a small market town and community in Powys, Wales.
The town lies on the east bank of the River Wye and is nestled at the feet of the Black Mountains, who are in turn part of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Located opposite the town clock since opening in 1877, F. W. Golesworthys' & Sons started life as a Gentlemans' outfitters. The last remaining shop of a group including premises in Cheltenham and Hereford, today we offer a wide range of clothing and footwear for outdoor activities, formal functions, and everyday life. Stocking ranges from brands such as Alfred Sargent, Barbour, Brasher, Clarks, Hunter, Paramo, Stetson and Trickers, along with ranges of outdoor equipment, knives, and a few bits and pieces that seem to come to peoples rescue from time to time.

We pride ourselves in our knowledge of our products, and with our honest approach to customer service, which has gained us regular return custom from around the globe.

Currently entering into its fifth generation of family ownership, F. W. Golesworthys' aims to build on its reputation and take our knowledge and service online, when Nic gets around to it...
